After a great deal of anticipation and excitement, the City of Pikeville’s Fire Department had its official ribbon cutting of its new #3 fire station facilities, located on Hambley Boulevard – which is just off of exit 24 on US HWY 23, on Monday, October 27th.
Lisa Daniels-Estep, Business Development for Summit Engineering / Summit Architectural Services, described the occasion by saying, “This is a very exciting time for the Pikeville Fire Department, the City of Pikeville and Summit Architectural Services. The City of Pikeville has grown a lot over the past few years; and that includes an increased number of residential and commercial buildings. Summit is delighted to be part of the team.”
This growth factor created the need for the relocation of the Fire Station in order to better serve the public’s needs. The new #3 Fire Station will allow better serve to the public’s needs for services. Summit would like to recognize the Architectural Service Project Manager, Kevin Gilliam and his team for their hard work and dedication.
