Pikeville Historic Restoration
Client: City of Pikeville—Pikeville, Kentucky
The primary goal of this nine million dollar project was the restoration of Pikeville’s Central Business District. At the time of construction this project was the largest of its kind in the state of Kentucky.
The task included upgrading and/or replacing building facade, the relocation of all overhead utilities ( replaced by state-of-the-art underground facilities). New water and wastewater lines, new traffic lights and street lights, (utilizing more of a historic look) and upgrading and/or replacing building facade were also an integral part of the project.
The result of this project was to create a historic facade which has become the essence of economic revitalization of the City of Pikeville's downtown area.
