Wetland Delineation Project
Client: Floyd County Development Authority—Floyd County, Kentucky
Summit Engineering conducted a wetland delineation of 37.3 acres of land proposed for use as an industrial development.
The delineation resulted in the delineation of 1.89 acres of jurisdictional wetlands which were verified by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). The delineation was later used during development of the property to insure compliance with Section 404 of the Clean Water Act. The proposed development was designed to fill some small wetland areas while preserving several larger wetlands and a pond.
